SAVE – Samsung Volunteer Employees – it’s a Samsung Electronics Italia’s program dedicated to the Corporate Social Responsibility; it involves the whole company’s population with the aim of allowing employees to play an active role in concrete projects for the common good.
The first edition of the corporate volunteering’s project, realized in collaboration with Retake Milano and Roma, involved more than 300 Samsung’s employees in the redevelopment and enhancement of 2 urban areas in their respective cities.
The Employees from the Milano site cleaned up the Baden Powell Park located close to Naviglio Grande, while employees resident in the capital tried their hand in the school complex’s redevelopment “Aldo Fabrizi” in the Tuscolano district in Rome.
Divided into teams, Samsung’s employees removed, for the Milan’s project, writing from all the walls, repainted the entrances, the pergolas, the benches, the light poles and children’s area of the park, gravely defaced by real vandalism, while Rome’s employees took care of the redevelopment of the educational institute’s entrance, repainting the entrance gate, the fence, the building’s walls and the benches vandalized by writings and graffiti.
The day of Milan saw the participation of Roberta Guaineri, Councilor for Tourism, Sport and Quality of Life, Eugenio Petz of the Department of Participation, Active Citizenship and Open Data, Santo Minniti, President of the area Municipio 6 and the citizens’ committee.
Meridian Communications followed the project in its entirety: from concept design to the development and management of the event on site, from the research of the most qualified partner for the project, to the organization to the finest detail of the volunteering’s days.
